Mark was my biology partner in high school and him and i would joke around and have fun together.  He was a great guy.  I remember once he put our dead frog (that we were supposed to dissect )on my shoulder!  I was so shocked when he was killed in the robbery at Kohl's Food Store where he worked.  It broke my heart.  I think he was the first person in our class to die.  I still remember being at his funeral . . .

Still remember his great wit. Also quick with a smile. Think of him every time I pass the old Kohls store on Teutonia & Hampton.  Rest in Peace

Mark had an astonishing sense of humor and bright smile.  He made some of my senior year classes tolerable only through cracking jokes during much of the class. Yes, his death shortly after graduation was indeed a shock, and I have thought of him many times over the years.  Rest in Peace, Mark.

Mark was one of the sweetest and dearest friends anyone at Custer could have.  Kurt and I had asked Mark to stand up in our wedding and he said "yes" without even thinking twice.  We jokingly called him the "Big Ragu".  I cried the day they showed the story of the robbery at Kohl's Food Store and described the horrible circumstances. What a tragic and senseless ending of a beautiful life.  His funeral was overwhelming and I think everyone from Custer who knew Mark was in shock for a very long time.  I know they say things happen for a reason and never to question God's decision but that was very difficult not to do.  I still think of him often and know Heaven is a much better place since Mark was taken home.  Miss you and Rest in Peace.
