58, of Winter Garden passed away suddenly June 10, 2013. Kathy is survived by her parents, Walter and Yoshiko Ulekowski, two brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathryn Estelle Ulekowski ( Kathy)
58, passed away Monday June 10, 2013. Kathy was born to Walter and Yoshiko Ulekowski on March 2, 1955 in Fort Meade, Maryland. She finished high school in only three years at Custer High School in Milwaukee and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science degree in special education in 1977. She relocated to Florida in 1979 where she continued to work with her passion of special needs children as a teacher for Orange County. In 1990 she left the school system and went to work for Special Needs, Inc. in Longwood.
Wanting to do more to help people, Kathy enrolled and graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 1999 with a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant. She relocated to Panama City and worked as a Physician Assistant until 2009 when she relocated back to the Central Florida area to be closer to family and continue her true passion of working with special needs. She worked as a Physician Assistant for Orange County Corrections and volunteered for Special Olympics Florida. She is survived by her parents Walter and Yoshiko of Clermont; brother Michael of Winter Garden; brother John of Clermont, nephew Brett of Dallas, TX; niece Danielle of Manassas Park, VA; nephew Jared of Katy, TX; niece Laureen of Beverly, MA; 3 great nieces Ashlynn and Brooklyn of Dallas, TX; Ava of Katy, TX. and her beloved dogs, Keiko and Molly.
