He was stationed at Fairchild Air Force base in Spokane, Washington where he was Crew Chief of 92 OMS-SAC and serviced KC-135 Stratotanker and B-52 Stratofortress bomber. He met Marion while stationed there and they got married June 7, 1974 and celebrated their 49th Anniversary this year.

My Dad’s favorite thing to do when pictures were being taken was to put bunny ears on anyone.  My father was a soft spoken, loving, intelligent, strong, kind hearted, hard working, Airforce Veteran, prankster, animal and nature loving man. He worked hard to make a better life for my Mother and I. He always encouraged me to want more and do more in my life. He encouraged me to save as much money as I can for retirement.

He taught me about nature, taught me to fish, took me camping, hiking and to explore the world. He was a loving husband to my Mother, amazing Father to me, loving Grandfather to my son Joseph and daughter Samantha. He loved to watch my sons soccer and football games. And watch Joseph and Samantha participate in their school concert functions. My Dad loved to take his grandchildren to as many fairs during the summer time as he could. We had a blast on many family vacations to see the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome, Scottsdale, Phoenix and Tuscan, AZ. We went to Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Williamston, Georgetown, SC, Newport Beach, Los Angeles, and San Diego, CA. He loved to go to Bayfield, Washburn and Ashland WI to go camping as his parents did when he was a kid. I’m so glad I was able to go on a trip with my parents and Joe, JoeJoe and Samantha for them to see Bayfield as well. I took my parents to Door County to Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek to go camping and explore. I am so glad we have all these memories of my Dad. They will be with us Always and Forever! 💗!

Dad, I love you so much and I am so glad nothing was left unsaid between us. You were my rock, my guiding light, you and Mom helped me to make decisions in my life when I needed your guidance, your support. Until we see each other again, I will miss you dearly. I love you with all my heart. Always and Forever! I will take care of Mom. We have each other, she’s a strong women. We will be Okay Dad. I promise. Please come and visit us, watch over us. Be my guardian Angel. Give Grandma Doris, Grandpa John, Aunt Yvonne, my Petie, Tigger, Angel and Reb a hug and kiss for me. Jason and John be with Dad, don’t leave his side.
