MELVIN EDWARD DRESSLER

WAUWATOSA Peacefully entered eternal life on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the age of 85.  Beloved husband of 60 years of Lois (nee Klug).  Loving Dad of Laura (Mike) McOlash and Lisa (William) Theis.  Proud Papa of Matthew, Morgan, Haley, Ryan, Evan, Gavin, and Braden.

Survived by his brother Ralph (Linda) Dressler, brothers-in-law Richard (Beth) Klug, Donald (Shawn) Klug, John Nugent, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mel loved his family above all else and was so proud of his 7 grandchildren and their accomplishments.  He was a teacher and coach at Custer High School for many years.  His students and swimmers brought him joy and continued to reach out to him years after his retirement. 

Visitation Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 10:00 am until Time of Service at 11:00 am at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 10121 W North Ave, in Wauwatosa.

Mel’s favorite pastime was muskie fishing on Lac Vieux Desert in Vilas County.  In honor of his love of fishing, his Christian faith and in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Fishing for the Heart (fishingfortheheart.com) or Pilgrim Lutheran Church-Wauwatosa.
