Gail Anne Quade, age 64 of Sugar Camp, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Monday, November 19, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on June 20, 1954, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Michael and Toba (Cohen) Stevens.

Gail fought a short, but valiant, three week battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She spent her last day, happy and joyful, visiting with her daughter and grandchildren. She is now at home with her Savior.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Richard “Rich” Quade of Sugar Camp; her children, Wendy and Aaron; and grandchildren, Brynnlee and Xander.

A memorial service for Gail will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, 160 N. Brown Street in Rhinelander. A luncheon will follow at the church. It was Gail’s wish to have part of her cremated remains buried next to her namesake, her Aunt Gail Stevens. Another portion will be sent to the island of Jamaica, one of her favorite places to visit.
