Mrs Joan Lorraine Waid - Science

From Eileen: Through Ancestry.com, I was able to successfully contact a family member of Mrs. Waid.  Here is her reply:

"Thank you for contacting me - Sorry it took me so long to respond. Joan was my beloved mother-in-law. After she retired, she lived here in the Milwaukee area for many years. She moved to Humble TX for help take care of her 2 grandchildren who live there with their father. She had a stroke in 2010 and was in a nursing facility for 2 years. She passed on Saturday, September 22, 2012...just days after her 3rd great-grandson (my 3rd grandson) was born. She was hanging around for him! She was cremated and her ashes scattered at her oldest daughter's home in Baraboo, WI. No obituary was published per her children's wishes. Even with her stroke disabilities, she tooled around the nursing facility feeding other residents and helping where ever she could. She didn't have an easy life but she was a force in this world and was so well loved. 

I also graduated in 1972 from Brookfield Central HS!! Happy 50th Anniversary! (Yikes!)"
