Rita C. Roix, age 71, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Our House Assisted Living.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of service.

Rita was born on March 6, 1954, in Milwaukee, WI to John and Mary A. (Gengler) McDermott. She graduated from Custer High School in 1972. Rita married Herbert L. Roix on March 6, 1994, in Las Vegas at Island Chapel. She worked at Ace Distribution until she retired on July 24, 2008.  Rita enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.

Rita is survived by her husband, Herbert Roix; children, Aaron Sardina and Abbey Yarrow; step-children, Dana (Rene) Orozco and Rachel (Dan) Roix; grandchildren, Benjamin Orozco, Makayla Borden, Lydia Orozco, Lypio Orozco, Leelianni Roix, and Jarrett Yarrow; siblings, John McDermott, Betty (Greg) Pfister, Margie (Stuart) Heck, Mary (Jim) Day, and David McDermott; father, John McDermott; and many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her infant son, Adam Sardina; and mother, Mary McDermott.  The family would like to thank Our House Assisted Living and Aspirus Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
