At the time of his death, Phillip was survived by parents: Fouad K. 'Freddy" Shamalie (of So.CA) and Anita Elaine (nee Johnson) Shamalie-Schroeder-Verscharen-of Milwaukee(she passed away 2003);  sister Judy Ann Buchko(Gerald) of Oregon, half-sisters Mary Beth and Marguerite I."Meg" Schroeder-both of WI, and Kathryn Lynn "Katy"(nee Schroeder) Pallin-of WI.  Also survived by a special Aunt Eleanor D. (nee Johnson) Hanold, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

(In 1996, namesake-Phillip Hanold came into the world.)
