What I remember most about my drivers ed class was he taught us that if we hit someone with our car...

put it in reverse and back over them again...He said its a lot cheeper that way...We talk about that even today. I know he was just kidding....

I learned a lot from him...not just about backing over someone...

I remember he was a great drivers ed. teacher.  I really liked him.  I have an interesting story about him - when I told my mom who my drivers ed teacher was and showed her a picture of him, she told me that she had him for drivers ed too (only at another school).  A couple of years later, my brother had Mr. Bahr for drivers ed class.  I guess you could say he did a good job in teaching the three of us (all in the same family - wow!), because all three of us passed our drivers test the first time!  How's that for coincidence?

Fred Bahr graciously welcomed me to the school as a new faculty member. He was helpful, supportive and very funny. I will always remember and appreciate my time working with him.

Mr. Bahr made Driver's Ed fun as well as being educational.  Even though I didn't pass my road test on the first try (they didn't like that I couldn't parallel park my dad's Ford station wagon frown) I did pass it a week later.  Mr. Bahr was very patient considering he had 3 teenagers in the car.  He was an excellent instructor.  Rest in Peace.
