Very sad to hear about Barb.

She is to young.

Now she is in heaven.

That is why we need to do yearly get togethers.

None of us are getting younger. Nice job on Saturday Mel

So sorry to hear about Barb's passing.   I have a lot of good memories about hanging out with Barb back in the day.  None of us are getting any younger so we all need to live each day to it's fullest.  May she rest in peace!

It is due to Barb that I met Jan Thompson, now my wife of 30+ years. Barb wanted to take a french class and I wanted to take a specialized reading class so we both signed up. We did not end up in the same classes, but Jan was in my reading class-so Thanks you Barb. As said so well by others Barb was always fun and very nice.

A Tribute to Barb,  my dear lifelong friend-

                                                           From Di (Dianne Patt)

This is one of the saddest and hardest things that I have had to do in a long time.  But, I'm so grateful for knowing someone that is so hard to say goodbye to.

Barb and I were the very best childhood friends.  That friendship continued into our adulthood and until her passing.  We never forgot our birthdays and talked on the phone frequently.

Right before my birthday, I got a call from her husband, Bob with a message from Barb wishing me a happy birthday but apologizing for not being able to send me a card because she was in the hospitol.  I instantly had a feeling that this was very serious.  I was in constant contact with both her husband, Bob, and her brother, Tom.  I was praying so hard for a  miracle but God had other plans for her.  I did get to talk to her one last time when she was in rehab.  She knew it was me because she said my name.  My last talk with Barb.  I'm so grateful for that.

I want to dedicate the song "Wind Beneath My Wings" to her from me.   So Barb,  fly, fly, fly, until you touch the sky.......Thank you, thank you, thank God for you the wind beneath my wings.

So Barb, my dear dear friend,    sleep with the angels,  rest, heal, and peace be with you.  I'll never forget you and love you always..I'll miss you always until we meet again.  God Bless You, Barb.

                           Your loyal friend,   Di

I wanted to end my tribute with ,    " your loyal and:"eternal" friend,    Di      But I was crying while I was writing and forgot to put "eternal" in.   I still can't believe and am really still grieving at losing this special friend who was in my life.  She really was funny-  a cross between Don Knotts and Carol Burnett,  plus her own style.  Merry Christmas in heaven and happy birthday on Jan. 27th.  I miss you so much.       Di   (Dianne Patt)
